- Nichayathartham or an Engagement ceremony is done where the bride is gifted with a saree and jewelry from the groom’s family, now it’s a trend after this bride and groom are made to sit for the reception.
- Reception is based on the convenience of the family of the bride and groom. It is organized the day evening or after the wedding is over or a day or two after the wedding Chennai Studio
- The wedding is carried out in the morning at an auspicious time where in the bride the groom tied the Mangaliam or the three Knot followed by 7 steps or 7 vows.

Kerala Weddings:
The God’s own country Kerala known for its back water has a beautiful wedding tradition. The horoscope of both the bride and groom are matched, referred to as Muhurtham , followed by Nischayam where both bride and groom family officials make the announcement for the wedding datas , and the wedding party is organized by the bride’s family where guests are served with vegetarian meals. Welcoming the groom for the wedding is ‘Madhuparkam Rital’ where the bride’s father washes the feet of the groom and the groom hands over a white saree to the in-laws which the groom is supposed to wear during the ceremony. Here the yellow necklace is tied to the bride’s neck by the groom followed by Kanyadaanam where the father of the bride hands over the bride hand to the groom. Sadhy is served for the guests.

- Bride: Kasavu Saree (White saree with a golden border)
- Groom: Dhoti
Kannada Wedding:
Most of the pre-wedding functions are the same as discussed in the above two wedding types , so will be briefing the different functions celebrated. Bala Shastra is a pre-wedding function where the bride gives bangal to the closest married women in her family , in kannada ‘Blae’ means bangles. Groom is welcomed to the marriage hall by the bride’s family , during the wedding the bride’s face is covered with peacock feathers and her sister holds this fan for the bride with whom she comes. In the mandap a cloth curtain is placed between the bride and groom the priest chats the mantras , when done the curtain between the both are removed and the wedding is carried out with the surrounding of 5 married women before the groom ties the ‘Mangalsutra’ around the bride’s neck. After the wedding both are to look at the ‘Arundhati Nakshatra’ in the sky to seek blessing for their happy and prosperous life.

- Bride : 9 yards long Naavari Saree.
